Powerball jackpot soars to $650M with no big victor on Saturday

With no victor of Saturday night's $535 million Powerball jackpot, the prize has skyrocketed to $650 million for the next drawing on Wednesday.

The $535 million jackpot up for grabs on Saturday ranked as the fifth-largest in the game's 25-year history.

Saturday's numbers are 17-19-39-43-68 Powerball 13 Power Play 4x.

Saturday night's Powerball jackpot climbed to $541.9 million, soaring well above earlier estimates of $510 million.

As a result, the jackpot has been growing steadily after each draw and now stands at a figure of $650 million, making it the third-largest jackpot in U.S. history.

No one has hit the Powerball jackpot in the semi-weekly drawings since 10 June, when a California man won $447.8-M.

RALEIGH, N.C. -One lucky North Carolina resident won $1 million after playing a Powerball ticket. The next drawing will be Wednesday night.

The single victor lump-sum cash value of the jackpot has been estimated to be $338.8 million. The highest-ever Powerball jackpot was almost $1.6bn in a draw that took place in January 2016. It was worth approximately $1.586 billion.

Tickets can be purchased until 10 p.m. today.

The longer odds also made it more likely for the Powerball jackpots to grow to a gargantuan size before a winning ticket is sold.

The odds of winning are still about 1 in 292 million.

Last Wednesday, the jackpot was $510 million. A lot of people in South Florida and across the country are probably asking themselves that very same question now that the Powerball jackpot has rolled over yet again. Each ticket costs $2.
