Trump, Clinton Make Their Debut in 'American Horror Story: Cult' Opening


For a while, we wondered just how much American Horror Story: Cult was actually going to reference Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. The cast includes more newcomers than usual, with Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Emma Robters, and Frances Conroy serving as the only returning cast members we know of so far.

In addition to the creepy imagery during the American Horror Story Season 7 opener, there are many political references included in the credits, such as the flag.

We're getting the first look at the seventh installment of Ryan Murphy's FX anthology, American Horror Story: Cult, with the release of the opening credits sequence and the election theme coming more clearly into focus.

Many fans are excited about the opening title sequence reveal, as Season 6's Roanoke did not have any opening credits, which many viewers sorely missed.

The 11-episode season will begin on election night in MI, with the real 2016 presidential election serving as a jumping off point for this year's horror story.

In addition to the aforementioned folks, Billie Lourd and Allison Pill round out the main cast while Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes, Lena Dunham, Dina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Mare Winningham, and Chaz Bono also star.
