Texan held over Confederate statue 'explosives'

Scheck is charged with trying to maliciously damage or destroy property receiving federal financial assistance, The AP report said.

Authorities on Monday said they arrested a man in Houston for attempting to place a bomb near a Confederate statue, The Associated Press reported.

Authorities say a Houston park ranger on Saturday caught Schneck kneeling near a statue of Richard Dowling, a lieutenant in the Confederate army, located in Hermann Park.

Battlefield 1 Revolution and Incursions announced
Battlefield 1 Incursions is an intense, 5v5 strategy game mode coming to the game, with some alpha gameplay coming in September. Players will "rank up to gain access to improved weapons and abilities based on a combination of time and performance".

The suspect was found to possess two boxes with duct tapes and wires, as well as a bottle containing a liquid made of substances used to make explosives, prosecutors said.

Schneck previously received five years of probation after pleading guilty in 2014 to improperly storing explosive materials.

Announcement of the charges came a day after the University of Texas removed Confederate monuments from its Austin campus in an operation that was begun during the night amid a national debate over what to do with Civil War-era symbols.
