QB Tyler Huntley to start opener for Utah against North Dakota

"We'll look at them skeptically", Coach Manuel Douglas said Monday after news came out that Utah has demoted former Narbonne quarterback Troy Williams from starter to backup. Huntley was a three-star recruit for the 2016 cycle.

If the decision comes as a surprise, it is because Utah went 9-4 with Williams as the starter. Huntley of Dania, Florida, played in four games past year, passing for 60 yards and running for 15 with a touchdown.

Huntley is a sophomore from Dania, Florida, who was named the 2015 Florida Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

Williams, a senior, started all 13 games for Utah last season and directed the team to wins over USC and UCLA. He arrived a year ago from Santa Monica College. Utah has a new offensive coordinator this season. At Alabama, he completed 49 of 66 passes for 410 yards and started just one game.
