Transcripts From Martin Shkreli's Jury Selection Show How Much He Is Hated

In fact, the general public opinion of Shkreli was so low after such shenanigans as trashing brunch, backing Donald Trump's candidacy for President, taunting reporters about his (incorrectly) self-assumed untouchability, and leaking the $2 million Wu-Tang Clan album he bought in 2015 while talking about his trial - despite being ordered not to by a judge - that more than 200 jurors were dismissed before the trial even started.

Juror No. 47 didn't hold back and told the court, 'He's the most hated man in America. Another said he "kind of looks like a dick".

The "Pharma Bro" became notorious after raising the price of an anti-AIDS drug by 5000 percent.

There are hundreds of reasons to hate him, but here are just a few, as explained by jurors excused in the selection process.

The Court: Well, I'm going to excuse you.

Both jurors ended up being dismissed from the case due to their inability to be impartial. All right. Juror Number 1. I wouldn't want me on this jury.

The Court: We will excuse Juror Number 52. I would be upset if it went up by a thousand percent.

"I'm aware of the defendant and I hate him", Juror No. 1 said.

Juror No. 52: When I walked in here today I looked at him, and in my head, that's a snake - not knowing who he was.

Juror No. 70: I have total disdain for the man.

The court then asked Juror No. 47 if she would be able to consider the evidence presented during the trial 'fairly and with an open mind'.

JUROR NO. 144: I heard through the news of how the defendant changed the price of a pill by up-selling it.

Juror No. 155: I have read a lot of articles about the case.

"You'd have to convince me he was innocent rather than guilty", Juror No. 77 continued. I have a mother with epilepsy, a grandmother with Alzheimer's, and a brother with multiple sclerosis.

Juror No. 10: The only thing I'd be impartial about is what prison this guy goes to.

The Court: Just to be clear, he's not being charged with anything relating to the pricing of pharmaceuticals. "I don't think I can because he kind of looks like a dick". Said another: "I don't like this person at all". I just walked in and looked right at him and that's a snake.

"The question is, have you heard anything that would affect your ability to decide this case with an open mind", said the court.

Juror No. 28: Is he stupid or greedy?

Juror No. 59: It's my attitude toward his entire demeanor, what he has done to people.

Thank you, jurors, for your services. Outside, he called his prosecution "a witch hunt of epic proportions", and he focused on the acquittals.

Correction: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated that Shkreli jacked the Epi-Pen price.
