The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services gave almost $1 million to Utah community health centers for quality service and care, according to a statement released Tuesday. They include improving quality of care, increasing access, addressing health disparities, enhancing high-value health care or improving patient-centered care.
FHC Inc. was one of 22 health centers in SC awarded funds by the HHS.
A portion of that money-$50 million a year for the next five years-is meant to go to help cover the cost of providing care to low income patients at Florida's 49 community health centers.

"Health centers do a fine job of providing high-quality care to Utah's communities". He also highlighted the innovative approaches health centers are developing to provide valuable services beyond primary care, including behavioral health, oral health, vision and pharmacy services. This data included that that number was broken down to include 1 in 3 people living in poverty, 1 in 10 USA children 17 years old and younger, 1 in 6 US rural residents and more than 330,000 US veterans relied on the HRSA-funded health centers. Today, almost 1,400 health centers operate more than 10,400 service delivery sites nationwide.
