Jim Irsay Encouraged By Andrew Luck's Recovery

Colts fans' heads have been spinning with conflicting reports about Andrew Luck's recovery from shoulder surgery all offseason long.

Another interesting nugget from Irsay's time addressing the media was when he revealed that the Colts considered bringing in another veteran quarterback, but the price was apparently too high.

Without Luck, the Colts sputtered against the Detroit Lions. Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star speculates that Luck has begun throwing again.

Best Australian performance: Dani Stevens smashed the Australian record to finish second behind Croatian Sandra Perkovic in the women's discus final.

This statement was preceded by Colts general manager Chris Ballard saying Luck is stronger perhaps right now than he was all of previous year.

None of the Colts' backup quarterback options looked promising in Sunday's preseason game.

"I can't say that Luck will be ready for the Rams game but he will be ready for the start of the season", Irsay said vaguely, via CBS4 Indy.
