Delhi: Ex-Manipur minister's son falls from terrace in Hauz Khas, dies

According to police, Siddharth was found lying in a pool of blood on Saturday evening around 4:30 pm in the parking area of a building housing a restaurant by the name of 'Match Box.' He was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to his injuries there, additional deputy commissioner of police Chinmoy Biswal said.

A 19-year-old son of a former Manipur Minister died on Saturday morning after he fell from the terrace of a restaurant in Hauz Khas Village.

Siddharth had consumed alcohol and went to the terrace and tried to climb the wall to go towards the adjacent restaurant, said the officer. Though CCTV footage of victim M. Siddharth Singh climbing up the stairs of the restaurant alone has emerged, the police haven't termed the incident as accidental.

A mobile crime team inspected the spot after Sidharth's sister said she suspected foul play in the death.

"According to the Newspaper, We are yet to ascertain how the youth reached the terrace of the restaurant", said Ishwar Singh, DCP (South).It was around 3.30 p.m. that the youth fell from the terrace on the fourth floor. "We are also looking at the CCTV images from nearby buildings", a senior police official said. His driver had dropped him and returned home. Locals rushed him to a hospital where he died, the officer said.
