Bruno Mars to donate $1 million towards Flint water crisis relief

Singer Bruno Mars has pledged $1 million to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint to aid relief efforts for the Flint water crisis.

Home run: Bruno Mars, 31, on Saturday said he's donating $1 million from his MI concert to aid those impacted by the Flint water crisis.

"I'm very thankful to the MI audience for joining me in supporting this cause", Bruno said in a during the show.

"Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents, and it's important that we don't forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster", Mars said in a statement. "As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again". His album, "24K Magic", recently achieved double platinum status, meaning that it has sold two million copies.

Live Nation, who promotes to tour, and Mars are supporting The Community Foundation of Greater Flint with proceeds from the Saturday show.
