Kingsley Joins Roster For NBA Summer League

The Minnesota Timberwolves start NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas this weekend, and they announced their roster on Wednesday.

Creighton center Justin Patton, whom Minnesota drafted with the No. 16 pick in June's NBA Draft, is on the roster but won't play because of a broken bone in his foot. The game will be televised on NBA TV.

The Wolves open their summer league slate with a contest against the Toronto Raptors on July 8 at the Thomas & Mack Center. He also finished his career third on Davidson's all-time scoring list with 2,036 career points, behind Stephen Curry (2,635) and John Gerdy (2,483).

Kingsley helped lead Arkansas to the seventh-most wins in program history in 2016-17 with a record of 26-10 that included a trip to the SEC Tournament championship game and the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Each team is guaranteed five games and additionally two playoff games.

ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and the ESPN App, including 35 on its linear television channels.

Brady Heslip has been one of the G-League's (yes, it's the Gatorade League now, not the D-League) snipers from long range in recent years and Lauri Markkanen himself was one of college basketball's best 3-point shooters last season at Arizona.
