Honor has been making a mark with the camera optics and even this time, the Honor 8 Pro continues to have the same camera combination on the back with one 12-megapixel RGB sensor and one 12-megapixel monochrome sensor. Looking at the pricing, the Honor 8 Pro could give the recently launched OnePlus 5 run for its money.
The company has touted the adaptive nature of the OS in the past, and claims that 90 percent of core operations can be completed in 3 easy steps. and sports a 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) LTPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The back of the Honor 8 Pro is made of metal and has a matte finish while the front is an glass affair.
Driving the smartphone is Huawei's own Hi-Silcon Kirin 960 octa-core chipset which is based on 16-nanometer architecture and has four ARM A73 CPU cores and four A53 CPU cores.
"Honor 8 Pro" has been designed under the partnership with Amazon, Gameloft, GoPro, Jaunt VR and Deep Silver Fishlabs.
It packs in a 4,000mAh battery, which on paper is more than the 3,300mAh battery in the OnePlus 5.
Honor 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,999 and will be available from July 13 exclusively on Amazon India. Some of the highlight features on the smartphone are its dual camera setup, a massive 4000mAh battery, and an impressive 6GB of RAM.

The company has been teasing the smartphone for some time and just a few days back also said that the device was coming soon. The 12-megapixel dual autofocus rear camera has a f/1.7 aperture, while the 5-megapixel front camera has a wider f/2.2 lens.
The "Honor 8 Pro" smartphone features fourth generation dual-lens camera with 12MP lenses and is powered by in-house Kirin 960 processor.
"The "Honor 8 Pro" offers market-leading specifications by pushing the boundary of smartphone design, providing 2K display, extra-long battery life and dual camera setup", P. Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group, told reporters here.
It also supports 4K videos.
It is a Dual SIM device with two Nano-SIM slots.
It comes in Blue, Black and Gold colour variants. On the connectivity front, the smartphone support 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-SIM, infrared sensor and measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams.
The smartphone will be bundled in a box that can also be used as a virtual reality headset.
