Boston Celtics president explains why the team passed on Josh Jackson

- The Celtics were still in the No. 3 draft position as the National Basketball Association wheels continued to turn on Wednesday, but as we've been reminded in these last trade-filled days, everything can change in a NY minute.

Seismic events leading up to the 2017 NBA Draft have already hit the basketball world with some unexpected surprises.

Avery Bradley was one of the NBA's better defenders this past season, even as injuries limited him to just 55 games played.

Mason averaged 20.9 points, 5.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds in his final season at KU and appeared in 36.1 minutes per game, the highest total of any player in the Bill Self era. Kyle Lowry used to play in Houston and he does not intend on returning to the Toronto Raptors, while a report has surfaced that the Atlanta Hawks are looking to pull off a sign and trade involving their all-star power forward Paul Millsap. That's a lot for Tatum, who Ainge says he would've taken at No. 1, to live up to. "He was like, 'Yeah, it's 30 hours away".

The Celtics may not have every day players immediately coming out of the second round, but they addressed multiple needs with multiple options.

"Frank, it's just his mentality - you know, that pitbull", Graham added.

In Jackson, Graham sees numerous same traits as Mason - athleticism and an impressive will to win.

The Suns, who were one pick after the Celtics in the first round of Thursday's NBA Draft, knew that they wanted Josh Jackson.

When Bulls forward Jimmy Butler was shipped from Chicago to Minnesota for a smaller haul than expected, many began to wonder what other teams were involved in trade talks and what they offered. Jon thinks it gives the Celtics enough time to reset their assets for an additional pre-draft deal. "He's just - he's a victor". And whichever team drafts him will get someone who is arguably one of the most versatile players in this year's draft.

Ex-NASA scientist calls Goop's 'healing stickers' a load of BS
What's more, NASA reportedly doesn't even use "carbonized radio-frequency material" to line their spacesuits, like Goop alleges. Now, the company behind the stickers has apologized, claiming the inaccurate affirmation was just a big ol' misunderstanding.

"I love competition, and I love proving people wrong", Jackson said.

"Right now he's just messing with things", the source said of Jackson.

Danny Ainge was asked after the NBA Draft why they chose not to draft Josh Jackson and he was very blunt.

"I think he's a great player on the next level", ESPN's Jay Bilas, a former Duke forward, said Thursday on ESPN's Mike & Mike. A record 16 first-year players went overall.

"We would have picked [Tatum] with the first pick", Ainge confirmed shortly after midnight, while the Draft was near the tail end of the second round.

It became increasingly clear after a couple of days had passed that the Celtics were attached (courtesy of Inquisitr News) to Jayson Tatum.

"I need to get bigger, first and foremost", he said. The kind of gold that could, at least, mean an Eastern Conference title. I told him the grind of that is so important. Tatum is NBA-ready; Jackson may have the higher ceiling as an elite two-way player.

They got a potentially great player. A lot of times, guys can not do that.
