Lonzo Ball's draft stock stays strong with Lakers watching

The Suns now hold the No. 4 pick, and are willing to trade up to get it, according to ESPN's Chad Ford (as interpreted by Arizonasports.com). With Markelle Fultz reportedly set to land in Philadelphia with the No. 1 overall pick, the Lakers hold the keys to the remainder of the draft with the No. 2 overall selection and that, in and of itself, focuses a ton of attention on Magic Johnson and company over the next few days. With several potentially franchise-changing players, this National Basketball Association mock draft will attempt to correctly place all 30 first round draftees. But, it's rare a talented point guard like Lonzo Ball emerges in a draft.

The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are no strangers to success, which was recently recounted in a documentary about their strong rivalry in the 80's.

"The Suns have been trying to trade up and have had conversations with both the Lakers and Celtics", Ford wrote Monday.

The Lakers are hoping to add another lottery pick to take Duke's Luke Kennard, who they are very high on after working him out earlier this month.
