Yasiel Puig suspended one game for obscene gesture to Cleveland fans

In a play that stunned Miller and most of the crowd at Progressive Field, the Los Angels Dodgers hit the go-ahead home run off of Miller for the second straight game, as the Indians fell, 6-4, on Wednesday night.

Not shown there for obvious reasons is that Puig flipped the ol' bird - two of them actually - toward someone or a group of people in the Progressive Field stands.

In New York, Anthony Rizzo began the game with a long home run after a surprising move to the leadoff spot, rookie Ian Happ hit his first career grand slam and Chicago trounced the Mets. With his strikeout of Puig in the top of the fifth inning, Kluber became the fastest pitcher in Indians history and one of the fastest in Major League Baseball annals to record his 1,000th career strikeout.

In Washington, Ryan Zimmerman hit his 18th and 19th home runs of the season in his return from back soreness, and the Nationals scored five sixth-inning runs against R.A. Dickey.

An error on Indians second baseman Erik Gonzalez on a failed double-play attempt that would have ended the inning spurred the Dodgers' big inning.

The Indians scored three runs in the ninth on a three-run home run by Daniel Robertson off reliever Chris Hatcher.

"Tonight was not a great night for me", Kershaw said.

Tehran terror attacks' mastermind killed by security forces
The country's Supreme Leader said the attacks will add to the hatred that Iranians harbor toward the USA and Saudi Arabia . An Iranian journalist claimed on Twitter that a woman arrested by authorities was a mastermind behind the attacks.

Cody Bellinger went yard twice and added a double for the Dodgers, but did not give any one-fingered waves to the fans.

Miller retired the side in order in the seventh, but gave up just his third run of the season when Bellinger homered. It was the first home run Miller had allowed since, guess what, the World Series. He hadn't homered in the regular season since September 26.

"Obviously I didn't do my part", said Miller. It was just a pretty poor at-bat. It was electric. During the season, you want those kinds of games because at the end of the day, whatever we go through, we'll be fine towards the season's end and we are gaining experience as the season goes on. "It's easy to look back and see what I could've done differently". An MRI on Monday revealed the five-time All-Star has a herniated disk.

Twins DH Kennys Vargas, catcher Jason Castro and left fielder Eddie Rosario had four hits apiece.

Los Angeles Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez, right, and relief pitcher Kenley Jansen celebrate after the Dodgers defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-4 in a baseball game, Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in Cleveland.

If the two bullpens have struggled, Wednesday's starters - Brandon McCarthy for the Dodgers and Corey Kluber for the Indians - were outstanding, but using very different methods.
