Woman gives birth on flight, baby gets free Jet pass for life

Jet Airways announced that being the first baby to be born in flight for the airlines, the kid would get a free lifetime pass for any travel on the carrier.

Due to the diversion, the flight crew declared fuel emergency to ensure that adequate priority for landing was accorded at the Jaipur airport, Jet Airways said in a statement today. The mother and child were taken to Holy Spirit Hospital in Andheri, where doctors said they were doing well.

Generally, airlines offer free lifetime travel for babies born mid-air on their flights.

The crew, accompanied by a trained paramedic on board, provided medical assistance to her. "The airline thanks Ms. Wilson for her guidance", a spokesperson said.
