Taylor Swift's music returns to streaming services

Taylor Swift has returned her back catalogue to streaming services to "thank" her fans.

Apple Music then reversed its polices, and eventually landed "1989" and other exclusive content from Swift. "Taylor Swift just ended Katy without having to drop an album", one fan tweeted.

However, cynics also pointed out that the timing happened to coincide with an album launch by rival Katy Perry, with whom she has had an acrimonious and public feud going back five years.

But today, as she celebrates 1989 selling over 10 million copies, her music again becomes available on streaming sites - which just might diminish Perry's complete dominance of the streaming market today.

The album has a diss track apparently about Swift. The pop songstress releases her music on all streaming services, according to a social media announcement.

"Perry has taken to Twitter on several occasions to make statements which appear to relate to Swift, most notably in 2014 when she wrote, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing", which everyone considered a response to the song".

Spotify responded by saying it hoped Swift would change her mind about the decision. You read it right, Taylor Swift's music is making a comeback on Spotify, Pandora, and other streaming platforms. Only Apple Music was allowed to stream the music when it chose to pay royalties to artists during a free three-month trial. "Honestly, it's really like she (Swift) started it and it's time for her to finish it", Perry told talk show host James Corden in May.

Questioned on whether her jibes against Swift go against her messages of unity, Perry said: "I said that but, I mean, I'm not Buddha - things irritate me".

Yeesh. It looks like the bad blood between these two isn't clearing up any time soon. Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [their respective fan groups].
