Authorities are looking for an inmate accused of assaulting a female officer, causing serious injuries, and escaping from the Davidson County Detention Center.
Small was able to escape the jail after fleeing a foot pursuit by other deputies, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say Small assaulted a female detention officer before escaping the jail premises.
The sheriff's office obtained warrants against Small for assault inflicting physical injury to a detention officer, escape from a local jail and common law robbery.
Small is considered unsafe, the sheriff's office said.

Small has been convicted of several crimes in Guilford and Davidson counties, including: misdemeanor wanton injury to property in 2013, misdemeanor larceny in 2015, felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor larceny and felony larceny in 2017, according to state records.
Small stands 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 135 pounds. Small has brown hair, hazel eyes and fair skin with tattoos on his left and right arms. Davidson County deputies and other agencies are now searching for him.
