Ajax name reserve team boss Marcel Keizer as new manager

Marcel Keizer began his coaching career with Argon in 2007.

He will soon be signing a contract which will take effect on July 1, 2017, for two years, until June 30, 2019.

Kierzer replaces Peter Bosz, who left the club after the Europa League final appearances to coach Borussia Dortmund.

But Ajax said it believed Keizer to be the right man for the job.

"The conversations we had were really positive and I also feel trust from the club", Keizer told Ajax's official website. I had set myself up to get a good result in the Jupiler League next season with Jong Ajax, but in football, it may suddenly be different.

Police make new arrest over Manchester attack, 11 in custody
Peter Mann, whose daughter Jaden was injured in the attack, posted several photos of Grande and the youngster on Facebook. Police officers gather on a street near a property that they raided in the Moss Side area of Manchester on 27 May 2017.

A product of Ajax's youth system, Keizer was a team-mate of current Ajax assistant coach Dennis Bergkamp among many other national stars, but played just four games.

Director Edwin van der Sar says it was not a hard decision because Keizer "knows the players, the organization and supports the club philosophy".

The 48-year-old has been promoted from the club's reserve team, Jong Ajax, who he guided to a second-place finish in Dutch football's second tier last season.

"It's appropriate for Ajax to look internally for a replacement, in the past many coaches have been appointed from within their own club".

'This is obviously a very good opportunity that I will grab with both hands'.
