Trump has called the Russian Federation inquiry a "witch hunt" and the talk of a collusion "a total hoax", although he also has hedged his denials when it comes to those around him.

Putin's comments come days before former FBI Director James Comey is due to testify before Congress. "You created a sensation out of nothing, and. you turned it into a weapon of war against the current president". "You know, you're just very resourceful people there, well done, probably your lives there are boring", Putin said. Putin said such a request would have been reported to him. The president fired Flynn in February for his failure to disclose contacts with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak, and for lying to Vice President Mike Pence.

The FBI is now investigating potential connections between Trump campaign aides and the Russian government.

The Russian president said he had "no relationship whatsoever" with Trump.

President Putin also explained that in the US "Presidents come and go" and that Russian Federation does not care who is/was President, saying it "would not make sense" for them to interfere with elections.

"No, I haven't... because if there had been something meaningful he would have made a report to the minister, and the minister would have made a report to me".

Venus Williams loses in 4th round at French Open
This was the second year in a row that Bacsinszky beat seven-time major champion Venus Williams in the fourth round in Paris. Muguruza will next face 13th-seeded Kristina Mladenovic of France, who rallied to beat American Shelby Rogers 7-5, 4-6, 8-6.

President Trump announced this week that we would withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change, which sent the Left into another fit of rage, but I'm sure they'll circle back to this, their favorite issue. And then afterwards I was told, 'You know there was an American gentleman. He used to be in the security services, ' That's it.

"It doesn't sound like a justification", Putin said.

"I never met with him", he said.

"This sums up my entire acquaintanceship with Mr Flynn".

The dinner - where the two men were seated next to each other - celebrated Russian state media outlet Russia Today (RT).

US intelligence agencies concluded in January that Moscow tried to tilt the election campaign in Trump's favor, including by hacking into the emails of senior Democrats, a charge the Kremlin denies.

When the Senate intelligence committee in May demanded that Flynn provide a list of any contacts with Russian officials during the presidential campaign and transition, Flynn invoked his constitutional right against self-incrimination and refused.
